Don’t miss the panel “Enhancing Instructor Skills”

On November 8th at the TESL Ontario conference from 9:00am until 10:40 am, a panel of experts will be meeting to discuss the PTCT and its connection with improving teacher instruction.

Abstract: This panel presentation will review development of the CIC contracted Post TESL
Certificate Training Framework and instructor training courses. Panelists from Algonquin
College, the Canadian College of Educators, Humber College, New Media Language Training
and the Toronto Catholic District School Board will provide information on their TESL
Ontario accredited Post TESL Certificate Training courses.

Based on the new manual for LINC administrators developed by the CIC-funded LearnIT2teach team, presenters will highlight and explain key sections in this publication, which provides guidelines and best practices for program managers interested in supporting computer assisted language learning. Participants will also be encouraged to share ideas and concerns.

This Saturday in the Niagara Region recent and graduates of Stage 1 will be moving into the non-editing teacher mode with Stage 2 training.

For a description of the four stages of training click here.

In preparation for this event participants are advised to:

  1. have a good breakfast
  2. bring their username and password
  3. pre-read the Stage 2 Notes & Tips document
  4. view the Stage 2 Introduction video 

There will be a break at 10:30 with refreshments
